This is a remote trekking area for those
particularly interested in mountain flora and
fauna and who love adventure. You have the
options of flying to Tumlingtar to begin this
trek or driving to Hille, 12 hours east of
Kathmandu on the main East – West Highway. All
the treks to Manaslu Region begin at Gorkha, a 6
hours drive to the west from Kathmandu. This
recently opened area brings you the opportunity
to experience village culture and the beauties
of the pine forest. View the Tibetan Plateau
from Larke Pass or choose the Base Camp trek and
enjoy natural hot springs. Another option of
this varied area is the Rupinala Route, which
will take you to "Dudh Pokhari", a holy Lake.
