Nepal is a land of scenic splendor, age-old
temples, diverse cultures, exotic wildlife,
“Himalayan Kingdom” and some of the friendliest
people in the world. It simply takes your breath
away or to watch, explore, trek or just simply
watch the sun go down in all its grandeur on the
Himalayas. Its a landlocked country in South
Asia, roughly rectangular in shape and bordered
by the People's Republic of China to the north
and by India to the south, east and west .
The Himalaya mountain range runs across Nepal's
northern and western parts and eight of the
world's ten highest mountains, including the
highest peak, Mount Everest, are within its
territory. Talking about the amazing extremes,
its stretched from the highest point in this
earth to the worlds till the deepest gorge
"Kali-Gandaki", forested plains, fast flowing
rivers and rapids where white water rafting
becomes a challenge so daring, the fertile
plains to the south, known as the Terai, lie at
almost sea level.
It’s a developing country with an agricultural
economy. The country's efforts to expand into
manufacturing industries and other technological
sectors in recent days have achieved much
progress. Farming is the main economic activity
followed by manufacturing, trade and tourism.
More than 80% of the people live off the land,
while tourism, carpets and garments are its main
industries.
